Modern History and Politics Reading Group

The Modern History and Politics Group provides an opportunity for informal discussion and presentation for all those interested in and/or working on international history, politics and culture in the twentieth century (especially post World War II), with a particular focus on colonialism, decolonization and the Cold War.

Working in conjunction with the Centre for Imperial and Postcolonial Studies, the group provides a forum in which to present and practice papers, exchange ideas, highlight fruitful sources, debate research techniques, and underline potential grant opportunities for students and staff interested in any aspect of modern international history.

If you would like to get involved, please contact Alex Ferguson (adf106@soton.ac.uk) or Rakesh Ankit (ra7g11@soton.ac.uk)
